October Kringle after 10 hours of stitching: The haunted house is stitched with glow-in-the-dark floss and outlined with purple metallic floss.   Another six hours of stitching: The Trick or Treat Cat Basket has glow-in-the-dark eyes.  The main stitching is done. Now on to the embellishments. And here he is fully embellished: Total stitching time: 18 hours.  Moved to finishing. Yesterday, I learned about a double-sided tape that is used to mount needlework.  Placed an order and will be finishing the August Kringle as soon as it arrives. There were a few more hours of stitching time left on this last day of Jul 2021.  “Twin Peaks Summer Plaid-demic 2021” fit the bill.  This is a pattern I’ve wanted to do.  I’m stitching it on 25 Count Country Vintage Mocha; one over one with the DMC called for colors. I’m thinking about adding a border made with Lori Holt’s “Stitchy Stars”. I’ve sent a note to the gals in the Netherlands asking if they plan to add Autumn, Winter and Spring to this patte

And we have a stitching finish!  After a total of 94 hours of stitching. Onto embellishing the pattern. I’m going to add snowflakes to the background and metallic thread and maybe some beading to other parts of the design. The base fabric is large enough to create a bell pull. So, as of today, this is the plan.

And another 10 hours of stitching was added to Twin Peaks Santa 2020. Total hours: 80…so far.

Started on 19 Jul 2021 and completed on 22 Jul 2021. After 14 hours of stitching, the November Kringle goes in the “to be fully finished” (FFO) pile.  Also stitched another 10 hours on the Twin Peaks Santa 2020.  Here is what it looks like after 70 total hours of stitching: Santa has a face! We’re coming up on the last week of Jolly July.  The plan is to start and finish stitching October Kringle; put some time into Twin Peaks Santa 2020 and fully finish August Kringle so it can be displayed come 1 August.

Lots of stitching going on this week.  Another 30 hours spent on Twin Peaks Santa 2020 for a total of 60 hours so far. Whew! And a stitching finish of the August Kringle Kalendar: It’s kind of hard to tell from this picture. Santa is holding a lighthouse so get your mind out of the gutter. 🤣

Progress being made…12 July 2021

This is a pattern by Lori Holt called Flea Market Flowers. The called for colors of DMC were used on 25 Count Lugana Vintage Country Mocha.  I added two extra columns of the flowers to increase the size. I started this project on 21 Apr 2021 and after 107 hours of work, the stitching was completed on 30 Jun 2021.  So, this one goes in the “waiting to be finished” pile. Put in four hours of stitching on the August Kringle Kalendar.  Here’s the progress for today:

August Kringle Kalendar

This project is being stitched on 14 Count Aida.  The color of the fabric is white with some green mottling.  August uses DMC: 310, 498, 647, 712, 930, 931, 3773, 3774, 3821, 3822, 3831, 3852, 3865; Kreinik 018 and Mill Hill Beads: 42011.  Aida is not my favorite fabric to stitch.  However, I completed some months years ago on the Aida.  So, I will finish up these last four charts and be happy to finally finish this old project.   After four hours of stitching:

It’s time for Christmas in July. Yay!   I have four “Kalendar Santas” to stitch this month: July, August, October and November.  Then this project will be all stitched up and ready for finishing.  There are four full weeks in July. So, I will stitch one a week.  Additionally, I will be working on “Twin Peaks 2020 Santa”. The DMC called for colors are: 310, 350, 402, 598, 739, 782, 817, 831, 930, 975, 986, 3822, 3825, 3853, 3854, 3856, and B5200. The fabric is 25 count Lugana Vintage Country Mocha.  I’m stitching full crosses one over one.  Some color changes: 975 is being used on the fur on his coat; 3844 is used for his coat rather than 598. “Twin Peaks 2020 Santa” after 30 hours of stitching
