Halloween Cat in a Top Hat: MTF

Image
This is Halloween Cat in a Top Hat. (I think the designer named it Trick or Treat. Since I’m leaving off the words, I renamed the pattern). I found this pattern in PNPS magazine. The designer is Barbara Ana. The fabric is 25 Count Vintage Country Mocha. Most of the floss colors are called for but there are more than a few substitutions too.   Here it is after 10 hours of stitching: Lots more to do on this one. However, the last installment of Bats and Boos has arrived. I will be changing this one up a bit to make it larger.

Peace & Light: FFO

Today I started Peace and Light by Satsuma Street.  This will be a gift for my cousins Jed and Jodi. The project will have floss color substitutions that I will list as I move along. The fabric is my current favorite: 25 count Lugana in Vintage Country Mocha.  This is a picture from the pattern.  The called for DMC floss colors are listed below. The substituted colors are listed in parentheses.  351 832 906 943 964 (3834) 995 996 3033 (822) 3046 (3746) 3325 (3752) 3608 White After 19 hours of stitching:

This is the third of the eight Shannon Christine Halloween designs for 2021.  Eight hours of stitching so far.

Bats & Boos: FFO

Image
This is a Stitch-Along from the Fat Quarter Shop called Bats and Boos. The fabric is 25 count Lugana Vintage Country Mocha.  There was a lot of “unstitching” on this project.  Finally, after 20 hours, this is the result: Another five hours and I am caught up with what has been released so far.  The frame I’ve chosen for this project has an eight inch opening.  At this point, the stitching measures three inches square. The next installment is a border that measures nine stitches wide.  I’m thinking of adding an additional border of bats and pumpkins.

The first of the eight part series of Halloween Ornaments 2021 by Shannon Christine is complete. The ornaments are stitched on 25 Count Lugana white with grey spatter.  This ornament was started on 5 Aug 2021 and after 11 hours of stitching was completed on 9 Aug 2021.

And after 31 hours, Wicked Stitcher Society stitching is finished. Move this one to the ready for finishing pile.  It’s hard to tell from the picture, there are metallic threads used in this piece. Even witches need some bling.

Twenty hours of stitching on Wicked Stitcher Society.

Twin Peaks Summer 3 Aug 2021

Our granddaughter, Sophie’s 24th birthday.  Happiest of birthdays, Soph.  Heard back from the gals in the Netherlands. Yes, they will be releasing other seasonal charts in the Plaid-Demic Series.  This is my progress on Summer.  This picture was taken after 12 hours of stitching.  This project is a combination of Twin Peaks Summer and Lori Holt’s Stitchy Stars. After 101 hours of stitching, this piece was finished on 23 May 2022.  Moved to the finishing file. Next up is the Witches Brew Ornament.  The fabric is 25 Count Lugana: white with grey spatter.  Some floss in this project is glow-in-the-dark. The ornament took ten hours of stitching. Will be adding some beads to embellish the project. Then it’s on to finishing.  And finally, I started Wicked Stitcher Society. This is also worked on 25 Count Lugana: white with grey spatter.  So far, five hours of stitching.
