Bob’s Socks are a great idea for

The yarn is Performance Stretchy Elastic Yarn. The yarn is 70% Acrylic, 23% Bamboo, 7% PBT.  Made in Bulgaria. Color 42204.  Lot 0692. This yarn may be machine washer in cool water and hung up to dry. Do not bleach.  Do not put in the drier. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. Each skein is 100 grams and 470 yards.

Bob’s foot measures just a bit over 9 inches. I’m using the basic pattern on page 97 of Toe-Up Socks for Every Body. Use the men’s measurement for size M.

Gauge: 8 sts per inch on size #2 needles.

CO 36 sts using Judy’s Magic Cast-On.  Since I’m using 2 circular needles, each needle will have 18 sts.

Toe:

Needle#1: K1fb, knit until last 2 sts, k1fb, k1.

Needle#2: K1fb, knit until last 2 sts, k1fb, k1.

Knit one round following the increase round until you have 36 sts on each needle.

Knit one round.

Measurement from big toe to front of heel pad: 8 1/2”.

Foot counted in (rounds):

Yellow: (5) (10) (15) (20) (25) (30) (35) (40) (50) (55)

(60)  (65) (70) (80)

Turquoise: (5) (10) (15) (20) (25) (30) (35) (40) (50)

(55) (60) (65) (70) (10)

Before starting the gusset, make sure there are 36 sts on each needle.

Yellow: this sock is correct = 36 sts on each needle

Turquoise: correct st count to 36 sts on each needle.

Gusset:

Rnd 1: K across needle one.

Needle 2: Kfb, K1, pm,  slip 1, k1, to 2 sts bef end of sts on needle 2, pm, kfb, k1.

Rnd 2: Knit all sts.

Rep rnds 1 & 2 until there are 60 sts on needle 2.

Note: On last round: Inc 1 st in center of needle 2 for a total of 61 sts on needle 2.

Note: 1= Needle1; 2 = Needle 2.
