TPS: The Prairie Year: FFO

I started this project on 24 Oct 2022. It is being stitched on 25 count Vintage Country Mocha using the called for DMC flosses.  Progress after 9 hours of stitching. Two hours spent on the frame for September and 7 hours to complete October.  After 86.25 hours of stitching, the project was finished on 31 Oct 2023 and framed on 1 Nov 2023.

This project is being stitched on 25 count Pebble Lugana using DMC 5200 floss.  This is after 3 hours of stitching :

Bee Tree Blanket

This project was cast-on on 3 Oct 2922.  The yarn is Mayflower Cotton Junior. The color is a dark grey (1442). Using 60 inch size #2 needles, my gauge equals 6 stitches to the inch.  The pattern calls for 18 stitches in 4 inches or 4.5 stitches in 1 inch.  This would result in a 50” wide blanket.  At my gauge of 6 stitches to the inch, I cast-on 300 stitches for the body of the blanket and 8 border stitches for a total of 308 stitches cast-on. This would result in a 50 inch wide blanket   I used a cable cast-on and knit 3 rows before starting Chart 1. After 25.5 hours of knitting:

Espalier

Calculations: Using #1 Addi needles 1. Finished bust measurement from pattern: 64.2 inches Note: This is size 9 of the Espalier Pattern 2. Pattern stitch gauge per 4 inches: 22 stitches  3. My actual bust measurement: 44 inches 4. My stitch gauge per 4 inches: 30 stitches  With my gauge, my sweater will be about 17.13 inches smaller than the pattern (47.08 inches).  This gives me 3.08 inches of positive ease.  Note: If this isn’t close enough to what I want, try using a larger needle to get gauge, or plan to knit a larger size pattern.  I will be knitting a larger size (9) because I like the fabric created with the size #1 needles with this yarn.

Finally FFO for this one.  This is stitched on 28 count Tropical Pink Linen using DMC floss that was chosen as I went along and I didn’t note. This project was started on 1 Feb 2021 and after 51 hours of stitching, the stitching was completed on 23 Mar 2021.  I finally framed this piece on 11 Oct 2022.  I love this frame and will order more for my round projects. Easter Bunny Ring: 1 Feb 2021-23 Mar 2021: ( 51 HoS).
